How to Activate MMS Water Purification Drops

When activating the water purification drops with sodium chlorite or MMS, an acidic substance must be added to form chlorine dioxide and provide the ability to kill pathogens. Sodium chlorite can be added directly to water to purify it of heavy metals and pathogens. A drop of sodium chlorite added to a gallon of water will remove most heavy metals and you can drink within 10 minutes. To provide faster purification, activate with one of the substances listed below.

Substances used to activate MMS water purification drops

  • lemon juice
  • lime juice
  • Raw apple cider vinegar
  • Citric acid

Add 5 drops of lemon juice/lime juice/unfiltered apple cider vinegar/citric acid solution for EACH drop of MMS.
For example: 5 drops of MMS requires 25 drops of lemon juice.
This will form a 10% solution.

After mixing MMS and the 10% solution, wait three minutes for it to activate before using.

Apple cider vinegar is beneficial to use as an activator for its yeast-killing benefits and non-allergenic properties. There is a small percentage of people who are allergic to citric acid. If you experience nausea with any activator other than apple cider vinegar, wait 10 minutes and drink water with 1 teaspoon of baking soda added. You can also eat an apple for relief and try apple cider vinegar as an activator.

How to make a citric acid solution

10% solution Ratio 5:1

Mix 1 tablespoon of citric acid powder with 9 tablespoons of distilled water and store in the refrigerator. This will make 4 ounces of a 10% solution. When using this mix always add 5 drops for every drop of MMS water purification drops.

50% solution 1:1 ratio

Mix 6 tablespoons of citric acid powder and 6 tablespoons of distilled water and store in the refrigerator. This will make 4 ounces of a 50% solution. When using this mix, always add 1 drop for every drop of MMS water purification drops. NOTE: To mix larger amounts of 50% citric acid solution, mix equal amounts of citric acid powder and distilled water.

How to activate MMS with a 50% citric acid solution

Mix 1 drop of 50% citric acid solution for each drop of MMS. For example, 5 drops of MMS would require 5 drops of 50% citric acid solution. After mixing the MMS and 50% citric acid solution, wait 15 seconds for it to activate before using. Once a particular solution is prepared, don’t forget to label your container to avoid mix-ups if you have mixed both solutions. Experiment with all of the trigger types listed above to find out which one you like best. Using apple cider vinegar not only has the benefit of chlorine dioxide, but also the benefit of killing yeast or candida at the same time.

Once chlorine dioxide is formed, the color of the mixture may turn dark yellow or light brown, this is normal. It means that the two substances have combined to form chlorine dioxide. The mixture may also smell strong, this is another indicator that the mixture has been activated. Don’t take a deep breath.

Very important: do not add vitamin C to your chlorine dioxide mix, it will disable the pathogen fighting power.

These are the four substances that can be used to activate MMS water drops, or sodium chlorite. See the websites listed below for additional information. Sodium Chlorite has been used for water purification in water treatment facilities and by campers/hikers/outdoor enthusiasts to form drinking water for several years. When sodium chlorite and an acid are combined, a new substance called chlorine dioxide is formed, which is a powerful pathogen destroyer. Kills parasites, cryptosporidium, giardia, oocysts, bacteria, viruses and heavy metals.
