The Suffering Servant

Will anti-Zionists and anti-Semites blame God for encouraging and allowing the Jewish “monopoly” on suffering? After all, aren’t those who refuse to forget the horrors of the Holocaust and warn of man’s inhumanity to man following biblical precedent?

Didn’t the Hebrew God consecrate Israel’s suffering by creating a holy day to commemorate their deliverance from Egyptian bondage? Did not the God of the Hebrews etch the suffering of Israel in the memory of mankind by instituting Easter, a religious holiday that God commands all nations to observe? Didn’t the Egyptians also enslave other peoples? However, who knows about them, except perhaps in a passing comment?

Didn’t the God of Israel dedicate AN ENTIRE BOOK to an averted Jewish tragedy? Doesn’t the Book of Esther warn anti-Semites to this day that “he who touches you touches the apple of his eye?” (Zechariah 2:8). Of what other nation has such a thing been said? Were not other peoples threatened throughout history and yet the Bible does not mention them?

And is it part of a “Jewish conspiracy” to make the whole world mourn the murder of Jesus Christ by the Romans (yet Italians are not branded as “Christ-killers” to this day)? Didn’t the Romans torture and crucify thousands of people? Are christians Biggest cry babies? Has the death of Jesus been exaggerated and squeezed out of all its value by Christians fixated on his suffering and self-sacrifice? I am speaking foolishly (as those who think the Jews have exaggerated their misery) to make a point.

It is not politically correct, however, the plain truth is that not all lives are created equal. Ancient Israel recognized that the life of the king, the leader of the nation, was far more important than that of his soldiers (1 Samuel 18:3; 2 Samuel 21:17).

Some people and nations have a greater influence and impact on history. It’s not because of Israel’s inherent goodness or superiority (we’ve been warned not to believe that), but because of God’s overall plan and purpose.

At this time, in God’s plan of salvation, the lives of Jews and Israelites are incomparable to any other, just as true Christians (in whom the Spirit of God dwells) are greater and different than other humans who are just ordinary (1 Corinthians 2:9). -sixteen). That is why it is written: “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” (Psalms 116:15; Numbers 23:10). Isn’t God worried about everyone’s death?

Tea big difference between Jesus and Israel (physical and spiritual) versus other individuals and nations, it is simply that we are CHILDREN OF GOD! (Hosea 11:1; Amos 3:2). The Bible only mentions other nations insofar as they come into contact with Israel. The Bible is an ethnocentric book; It’s about a FOCUS ON THE FAMILY in Jacob-Israel!

God does not record the suffering of others at this time, because as far as the plan of salvation is concerned, the genocides in Africa or Asia are inconsequential! And those innocent victims who suffered and died during Hitler’s war against the Jews (first and foremost) were basically collateral damage! This is not how humanity would see it, but it is how God sees things (Isaiah 55:8-9). I’m not trying to minimize your loss, I’m just trying to put things in biblical perspective, unpopular as that is.

I am not magnifying Israel’s suffering at the expense of others, I am just emphasizing it as the Bible would. Even the coming Great Tribulation is known as “the Time of Jacob’s Trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7). Isn’t God aware that every nation on earth will suffer when the nuclear bombs start falling? Yes. Currently, however, other nations are expendable because of Israel, if need be. “For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior: I gave Egypt for your ransom, and Ethiopia and Seba for you. Since you were precious in my eyes, you have been illustrious, and I have loved you: therefore I will give men for you (individuals), and peoples (nations) for your life” (Isaiah 43:3-4). And, again, “For I am with you, saith the Lord, to save you; Though I will completely destroy all the nations among whom I have scattered you, yet I will not destroy you…” (Jeremiah 30:11).

Jesus as an individual, and Israel nationally, and the Church spiritually, represent the Son of God on earth. We are “the Suffering Servant” that the world is not worthy of (Isaiah 53; Hebrews 11:35-38). We are the “Royal Priesthood” in comparison to other nations and peoples (Exodus 19:6; 1 Peter 2:9).

Does that mean that we are without sin, and that other nations are more just or justified in persecuting us? Nope! God warns against this dangerous deception: “I was angry with my people, I profaned my inheritance, and I gave them into your hand; you showed them no mercy; on the elders you put your very heavy yoke” (Isaiah 47: 6), and “All the that those who devoured them found; and their adversaries said: We do not offend, for they have sinned against the Lord…” (Jeremiah 50:7), and “I am greatly displeased with the nations that are calm: for I was a little displeased, and they helped hasten the affliction” (Zechariah 1:15). I talk about this in my book, Beyond Babylon: The Rise and Fall of Europe, within the chapter “The destiny of Europe”.

Sometimes God uses our enemies to help us regain our spiritual senses, and then judges those haughty individuals and nations and reminds them that they are only mortal (Isaiah 10:12; Jeremiah 51:35). At other times, Israel suffered unjustly in Egypt, Judah faced extermination for refusing to assimilate (Esther 3:8), and early Christians Aquila and Priscilla were unjustly persecuted for simply being Jews and required by law to leave Rome (Acts 18: two). ).

God exposes the twisted mindset of those anti-Semites who mistakenly feel that Israel and Judah have too much power and influence and control over their lives and nations, and threaten to rebel against their “oppressors” but will find themselves fighting a losing battle. against God! (Psalms 2; Revelation 17:14).

Individuals and nations must come to know and recognize who God has chosen (a Chosen One, not an elite) for His PURPOSE to ultimately save every individual and nation (Isaiah 49:22-23; Revelation 3:9).

So despite the anti-Zionists, anti-Semites, the damnable heresies of replacement theology and genealogy, personal and national sins, “all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, The Deliverer shall come out of Zion, and destroy ungodliness.” of Jacob” (Romans 11:26). Israel will prevail and become God’s light to all nations, blessing others as they have been blessed!
