Fake tattoos: are they for poses?

In the past, fake tattoos were only for children. However, that never stopped adults from using them back then. Unfortunately, they did so at the risk of being called “posers.” If you’ve worn a custom designed temporary tattoo in the past, you sent the message that you didn’t have the guts and pain tolerance to get a real one. This is why many people did not wear serious or custom temporary tattoos in the past, even if they really wanted to.

It really is a common misconception that fake tattoos are just for kids. But there are many valid reasons why people might prefer the temporary to the permanent. Fashion is a good reason and that is why many women wore them back then. This is quite obvious in the temporary tattoo designs available. You can easily find patterns of roses, butterflies and the like.

The men had a bad time. The men were called fakers for using them. A poser is defined as a person who is always pretending to be someone else. Tattoos were seen as skin art for tough guys. This is the reason why it is very popular in prisons. It is true that there are many men who use them to look tough. But how can anyone achieve that with rose and butterfly designs? The limited selection of fake tattoo designs never helped the cause of fake tattoos.

Fortunately, some manufacturers saw this problem and felt they had to do something about it. First, they realized that there is great potential for them. However, this potential is being stopped in its tracks with the idea that they are for frauds or cowards. Many men and women are afraid to use them because they don’t want to be labeled as impostors. It’s hard to blame them. But things are now changing as some manufacturers are doing things to eliminate the misconception.

The most important thing to know is that they are not for poses. In fact, today they are widely used for different causes and we have these visionary companies to thank. What they did was quite simple. They acquired the necessary equipment and skills to produce great results with the help of great temporary tattoo designs. The resulting tattoos are so cool, they’re not just for skin art anymore.

It’s not hard to see a stadium full of 10,000 fans with fake tattoos. Now, are they posers? No, because they wear them to show their support for their team. Many schools and teams feature designs that show the colors, names, and mascots of their respective teams. They sell them on the premises or even give them away to lift team spirits. No one is going to call you a poser for wearing one at these events. In fact, they will only see you as a good supporter of the team. In the end, it is the team that will benefit greatly, as they have the support of fans in high spirits, and will possibly benefit from the funds raised from the sale of the temporary skin design.

But you can even find people who want unique and personalized designs to help their self-expression. They may not be looking to support a team, cause, or company, but they may have a message or image they want to show the world. They may not want this image to be permanent. It can be for an occasion like a wedding or a memorial service. It may be something they want to try before getting a permanent skin tattoo. It may be that their style is constantly changing and they don’t want to be tied to showing off a permanent tattoo. Your job may not allow visible tattoos, but you still want that face tattoo for the weekends… The reasons for wearing temporary tattoos are many and can be very personal.

Sure, there will be some people who aren’t convinced that sporting temporary tattoos is a valid form of self-expression. The motto “No guts, no glory” is sometimes very profound. But deep down, you know you’re just rooting for your team, your local charity, your best friend’s marriage, or your mood for the week, and those around you will understand. That’s what’s important.
