How to remove Orange Glo buildup and residue from hardwood floors!

DO NOT use this Orange Glo product or buy any of the eBooks that people are trying to sell you on how to remove buildup/haze. I called the Orange Glo customer service line directly and found out how to remove this product from the floor. Your solution? Simple ammonia and good old fashioned hands and knees elbows. Yes, a whole weekend on my hands and knees, to get the floors back to their original shine because there was so much build up on them.

We have been using this product and it looked great at first but then the floors started to look dull and very scratchy. I didn’t understand why and then I noticed streaks where some parts of the floor were shiny and others were dull, so I scraped with my fingernail and removed some of the product. Underneath it was shiny. So I decided to google and found out that many people had the same problem!

Directions from the Orange Glo customer service line:

1. Mix 1/2 cup of ammonia with 1 gallon of warm water.
2. Apply the solution to the floor with a mop in an inconspicuous place first to test.
3. Once you determine it is okay to use on your floors…apply to the floor and let it sit for 5 minutes.
4. Wipe off the solution with a clean, soft cloth.
5. Wipe in circular motions if there is more buildup.
6. Depending on how much buildup you have…you may need to repeat the process until it is completely gone.

I am very disappointed that this product is still being sold in stores as no one should be using this on their floors!
