In fact, the more you use MAGIC JACK, the less it will cost you per call, now that makes economic sense. After all, how much do you currently spend each month calling prospects and nurturing business?

5 easy steps to achieve results with Magic Jack:

(1) To determine the baseline quality of your Internet service for your VOIP, go to:…testyourvoip…- choose -preserve speech quality and enter the destination of the call, the results should be posted to 15 seconds, giving you a rough estimate of the connection quality service you currently have. Now, this number will vary throughout the day depending on peak traffic times on your server, so don’t get too carried away if it’s not the absolute best. The quality of the cell phone or better is fine, you’ll see.

(2) Contact your service provider (tech) there, the guys who know, but who knows, a customer rep surprised me before – ask them to prioritize voice over IP traffic and make data stream traffic be secondary; this will only affect the web download speeds up slightly while talking on your VOIP online. Don’t worry, it’s manageable.

(3) Connect your PC to your modem/router via an Ethernet cable – there is no option, it is a requirement. You need a high speed gateway for your data flow; otherwise, the more wireless transmissions there are on the circuit, the more delay time. Poor signal quality translation.

(4) PULL that USB cable; supplied in your Magic Jack Kit and plug it directly into your PC’s USB port, this solves the phantom power problem. The Magic Jack is powered by your computer, so remove any interference, believe me, it does matter.

(5) Please disable the wireless function of your modem/router and PC, as most cordless home phones, cell phones, etc. operating on a 2.4 ghz frequency, they will drop the signal and you will experience dropped calls for no apparent reason. So by removing any signals from the competition, you should be good to go. I use a Plantronics CT-12 wireless headless system connected to my Magic Jack, it’s rugged, reliable and leaves my hands free for other things. Check out eBay for one.

It should now be apparent that by taking a little time to implement the 5 easy steps above, you should see a reduction in dropped calls, static, and poor reception on at least your end of the deal. This took several months of testing and testing to eliminate all factors related to the above mentioned issues with my MAGIC JACK VOIP system. Enjoy your MAGIC JACK as designed and have hours of worry-free service at a low price, ENJOY.
