Samsung recently announced the details of a press event on May 3, which is where we expect to see the new Samsung Galaxy S3 unveiled. This model is one of the most anticipated phones of all time thanks to the enormous success achieved by its predecessor, the Galaxy S2. A new video leak has appeared on the internet showing the rumored new model along with a full list of specifications that are supposedly included in the device.

A Vietnamese tech website called Tiehte released the video which was very quickly removed, but the footage was online long enough for various websites to see what it had to say about the new Samsung Galaxy S3. Perhaps most of the rumors about this new model have been about the screen size and quality that the phone will offer. The video clip suggests that the model will ship with a huge 4.6-inch screen. This will make it one of the largest mobile displays on the market, with only the recently launched HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy Note having larger displays. In terms of resolution, the phone is reported to offer a quality of 720 x 1184 pixels. This means that the new phone will be able to display a pixel density of around 320 pixels per inch, which is very impressive for a screen of such a large size. In terms of design, the model looks a lot like previous Galaxy phones that have been released. The model sports a very angular design with some perfectly curved corners. One thing we noticed about the design was that the model number GT-I9300 was displayed on the rear. This is in line with previous Galaxy smartphones and helps us think that this video actually shows genuine images of the new phone.

In terms of processing power, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will sport a new quad-core chipset as we all expected. This chip is rumored to be clocked at 1.4Ghz and is accompanied by an impressive 1GB RAM. This will ensure that the phone is well equipped to deal with future software updates that may be introduced. In terms of storage capacity, Tiehte reports that the phone will offer 16GB. The video also contains details on some other areas of this phone that have been featured less in many of the rumors circulating. The model will sport a powerful 12 megapixel camera capable of recording 1080P video images. A massive 2050 mAh battery will be installed inside the model that will help the phone provide excellent performance times, especially with such a large screen and a powerful included chipset.

Only time will tell if the video we saw contained genuine details about the new Samsung Galaxy S3. However, what we can say is that we have seen hundreds of rumors about this phone and this one certainly seems the most legitimate. The fact that we are only a week away from the official launch of the phone also makes us believe that it is quite possible that the phone shown in the video is the genuine item.
