The ancient guide to being healthy

If you want to live a healthy life, like me, you have to be sick and tired of all those “modern health guides.” The promises made are highly publicized, but readers rarely report sustainable positive results. Unfortunately, you find out after you have shelled out your precious money.

I am not saying that modern health guides are useless, as some work very well. But the advice offered is sometimes too complex for anyone to carry out.
Here are my own practical recommendations on how to live a healthy life every day.

eat fresh food

In the days of the cavemen, man had always depended on nature for his food. Even today, we still scour the grocery store for fresh food to eat. The term “fresh” today means that it comes from the refrigerator or freezer.

That’s okay because refrigerators keep everything cool to a certain extent. However, nothing beats a fruit or vegetable that is consumed immediately after it has been cooked or eaten raw.

When stored in the freezer, most nutritious foods lose important vitamins and minerals that the body needs. Therefore, it is much healthier to eat fresh mangoes or apples than to put them in the refrigerator and wait for them to cool down.

In the old days, apples, grapes, apricots, and other healthy fruits were washed and eaten at the same time. The idea of eating a “cold” fruit became popular in the 70s because of ice cream parlors.

avoid the ice cream

Magnolia invented the idea of making fruit flavored ice cream. However, ice cream is loaded with sugar and preservatives that can be harmful to your body. People with high blood sugar levels should take note and avoid ice cream altogether… It also increases the size of your GURTH… avoid ice cream like the plague.

Avoid breakfast cereals

Breakfast usually consists of fresh orange juice and breakfast cereal. However, nowadays breakfast cereals are not as healthy as you think.

Most cereals consist of whole wheat and other vitamins and minerals. This should be good, but a lot of cereals have another ingredient that is a big NO-NO —- sugar. Sugar is surprisingly present in almost all breakfast cereals, which is very alarming.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), rates of type 2 diabetes, or adult onset, have tripled in the last 30 years. This is due in large part to the global obesity epidemic, a major risk factor for developing type 2 diabetes.

In the United States and other parts of the world, diabetes specialists are seeing more children with Type 2, a disease once known as “adult-onset” diabetes that can lead to blindness, amputations of limb and kidney failure, as well as dramatically increase the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Type 2 occurs when the body does not properly use or produce enough insulin, the hormone that moves blood sugar into cells, where it is converted into energy.

A lot of people are eating and drinking sugar laden foods that they think are healthy and have minimal sugar… come on what do you think Fruit Loops are… or Capn Crunch… unbelievably laden with massive amounts of sugar .

Why do you think children love these cereals? I would advise everyone to stay away from breakfast cereals that contain sugar. I usually don’t eat any cereal at all.

I will occasionally have a bowl of oatmeal without raisins or brown sugar. But only from time to time, since a bowl has about 56 grams of carob.

Cereal products now focus more on tasting good than being healthy for the body.
feeding alternatives

If it would be better if you ate whole wheat bread instead of cereal.
Long grain brown rice is an alternative. In Asia, rice is the staple food of many people. Even in Europe and America in the early days, rice was a must for breakfast…

But absolutely stay away from white rice…like potatoes, extremely high in carob…as you know…if you don’t burn the carbs, with exercise, it will turn into sugar and then fat. …just stay away from carob-rich foods….think lean and green when you eat…your liver will thank you

Fast food

When at work, most people eat fast food. Fast foods commonly consumed by men, women, and children include hamburgers, pizzas, milkshakes, French fries, soft drinks, and desserts. Most people consider fast food to be the only option on a busy day. The only problem is that fast food is slowly but surely killing us.

The disadvantages of fast food are many. Burgers that are 70/30 beef to fat have twice the cholesterol of a 90/10 burger, which is lean beef…think lean!

Many soft drinks contain caffeine, which causes the heart to beat irregularly. The biggest culprit in soft drinks isn’t the caffeine or artificial sweetener…it’s CARBONATED SODA.

If you drink soda, obesity will come as a knock… sure as God made little green apples, obesity will definitely come sooner rather than later.

One of the big problems with drinking soda is your immune system…one diet soda, or regular soda, will shut down your immune system for 12 hours…just one can. That is a scary thing.

A much cheaper and healthier solution is to prepare your own lunch made up of white meats, vegetables and fresh fruit. However, this is difficult for people who want things conveniently and when their time is precious.

If you have to eat out for lunch, or anytime, think lean and green.

When you follow these tips and take action, you will live a healthy life every day.
