If you are a registered nurse, physician (MD, DO, NMD), nurse practitioner, nurse anesthetist, dentist or physician assistant looking to expand your injectable skills and grow your aesthetic practice, our advanced dermal filler course is perfect for you. This course is a hands-on workshop designed to teach participants how to enhance the appearance of the lips and cheeks using dermal fillers.

This course is a comprehensive program with extensive hands-on practice on live models. Participants will learn to perform a variety of techniques for both the lips and the cheeks as well as how to contour the chin and jaw line. The advanced course builds on the knowledge gained in the fundamental advanced dermal filler course by demonstrating different injection technique and volume for the different dermal filler products labeled for use in the United States.

In addition to expanding the use of dermal fillers to include augmentation of the nasolabial folds, participants will be introduced to various other FDA-approved hyaluronic acid (HA) products and their indications and contraindications. Students will also be exposed to the facial aging process and how to analyze the patient from an aesthetic perspective in order to recommend the best possible outcomes for their patients.

The hands-on portion of the course will introduce participants to several different dermal filler product brands including but not limited to Juvederm Ultra, Voluma, Restylane Lyft, Sculptra and Radiesse. Students will learn the advantages of each of these dermal fillers as well as how to select the best product for each client’s unique needs. Students will also be instructed in how to properly prepare and administer dermal filler injections for maximum safety and efficacy.

Demonstration videos will be included to demonstrate the proper injection techniques for glabellar lines (between eyebrows) and crow’s feet, forehead lines, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and the chin crease. The course will also address the unique challenges that may arise during the course of performing a dermal filler treatment and how to handle these situations appropriately.

Students will be given the opportunity to perform a number of dermal filler injections in the cheeks and nasolabial folds with guidance from an experienced instructor. This part of the course is designed to give the participant the confidence and ability to immediately integrate these new procedures into their practice.

In addition to the hands-on experience, this course will cover how to properly record and document each client’s pre-treatment condition as well as their results from any treatment provided. This is essential for both medical-legal reasons and for ensuring the highest level of patient care. A series of facial rejuvenation photographs and a treatment record form will be provided to each attendee. This is an important component to your successful implementation of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers in the clinical setting. Detailed instructions for the use of this documentation system will be covered as well as the nitty gritty details of office integration systems for safe and effective delivery of dermal fillers.
