Best Laptop Models (February 2010) – Part 1

Like any other product, laptops come in a variety of models, types, and categories. So much so that choosing one is increasingly difficult, especially since new models are launched practically every day. Instead of choosing a laptop based on requirements like screen size or budget, we kept it simple and only listed the best laptops that should please virtually every user. Some of these laptops include:

Apple MacBook Pro Summer 2009: With a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce 9400M graphics processor, the Apple MacBook Pro has enough power to do just about anything. Along with the laptop’s user-friendly interface, the laptop features a strong yet lightweight aluminum body that looks as beautiful as it is powerful. Its 13-inch screen is also big and sharp enough for standard HD video, so you get a great multimedia experience. Apple has also included a FireWire port for this MacBook along with an SD slot and at a price of $1,148.95 to $1,198.00 it’s not too big for your pocket.

The HP Mini 311: As a revamp of the underpowered standard entry-level netbook, the HP Mini 311 offers an 11.6-inch display and an NVIDIA ION graphics chipset. It allows for basic gaming and smooth HD video, but keeps just about everything else at a very good price of under $500 for a slightly more powerful Intel Atom N280 processor. Since HP no longer makes the HP Mini 311, all you have to do is keep an eye out for similar HP netbooks in the same price range that offer the same features of an 11.6-inch display and NVIDIA ION chipset.
