Eagle Eye was an action packed movie from start to finish. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat until I found out who the voice was on the phone. If you’ve ever seen the movie ‘I, Robot’ starring Will Smith, you can guess what will happen in the second half of Eagle Eye.

The main plot of I, Robot involved a man-made computer that was linked to Robots. Then the computer turned all robots against humans because humans were killing each other too much (trying to create a perfect world). Eagle Eye involved the same type of computer that tried to make the human race less violent. In this movie, the computer controlled humans instead of robots to complete the mission.

Plot aside, this movie was done very well. DJ Caruso and Shia LaBeouf are perfect together. Eagle Eye was one of the most intense movies of the year. Shia and Michelle’s performance was very believable. They made you think “what if the government is watching?” The style in which this movie was shot reminded me a lot of Enemy of the State, another Will Smith movie.

I would give this movie an average rating for trying and fail the director for choosing a movie that wasn’t very original. I would recommend Eagle Eye to anyone who has not seen Me, Robot. For those of you who have seen I Robot, all I can say is if you want to see basically the same story as Eagle Eye.
