Hate your big thighs?

Many people ask me how to lose the weight around the thighs and buttocks, most of the time “fitness smarties” advise these people to walk a lot or jog slowly as it is best for burning fat. .

While studies show that long cardio sessions are the best for burning fat, they are not necessarily the most effective for losing fat.

Carrying weight around the hips is excessive estrogen production, if you suffer from this then you should avoid long cardio sessions, this will also increase your cortisol levels which will cause you to gain weight around your belly as well. Instead, you should be doing vigorous exercise (sprints) and weight training (resistance).

Choose organic where you can and be sure to wash all fruits and vegetables to avoid pesticide/toxin intake. Cut down on alcohol, yes this is a must – everyone trying to lose weight wants to cut down on alcohol! For occasions you can drink red wine but not more than two units per day.

Increase intake of cruciferous vegetables such as watercress, collards, cabbage, broccoli, kale; If digested correctly, they will help correct the imbalance, plus the fiber, vitamins, and minerals are great for your overall health and well-being.

There are supplements that can help too; remember that supplements should only be used to supplement what is already a good diet, these include:

A good quality fish oil – these have a multitude of benefits and should be included in everyone’s diet.
A good quality multivitamin – Everyone should take a good multivitamin
A diindolylmethane (DIM) supplement may be beneficial
Organic flax seed husks can also help

An example of a daily diet for people with excess estrogen may include:
Breakfast: omelet made with spinach and mushrooms (optional garlic)
Snack: 1/2 avocado with a handful of nuts
Lunch: Chicken salad made with chicken breast, watercress, cherry tomatoes, spinach leaves, radishes, and sprinkled flax seed husks.
Snack: 1/2 avocado with a handful of nuts
Dinner: roast turkey with sprouts, broccoli, parsnips, carrots

It is best to steam your vegetables and make sure you chew your food well.

Switch to green tea and water.
