HTC Touch Diamond mobile phone review: A diamond in the rough

The HTC Touch Diamond mobile phone is rumored to be a bit thicker than before; which may not be a great feature for those who are enamored with the slimmer and sleeker styles of mobile phones. The larger size will serve to provide space for a much more powerful battery; the 1350 mAh. Ultimately, this can be considered a definite advantage; we could all use a lot more battery in our phones; allowing safety and reliability when faced with unforeseen emergencies these days.

Consumers will be happy to know that the HTC Touch Diamond has been bundled with a new and improved touch screen interface. A 2.8-inch high-resolution VGA screen is one of the many benefits included in this new mobile phone. Another great feature gives this mobile phone the ability to run on Microsoft’s mobile operating system. This feature allows those on the go to run Microsoft Office and Outlook on this phone. The animated interface provides music; weather, email and messaging; allowing for much easier access to the person you need to stay connected with.

Other wonderful features of the HTC Touch Diamond include, among others, the ability to transform the browser from portrait to landscape; much like the iPhone. It’s also armed with an Opera web browser; allowing a light version of YouTube. Let’s not forget how mystified users will find Google Maps to be integrated with the HTC Touch Diamond’s GPS. This is a dream come true for fans of the HTC Touch Diamond.

The Touch Diamond also has 4 GB internal storage, 256 MB flash memory; 192MB RAM; than the previous version. Unfortunately; there is no memory card slot, i hope you can fix this and maybe with the next update this feature will be added to this wonderful mobile phone. I don’t think this detracts from this exquisite phone.

We have commented on all the positive aspects of this wonderful mobile phone; There are some downsides here, as with any product. Although equipped with Microsoft features, the HTC Touch Diamond does not have a physical keyboard. This flaw may compel those who need a more professional mobile office device than an item that is considered too basic. If you are a user who relies heavily on a feature like this; you may need to purchase two mobile phones. I believe in the near future; this feature will have a further update.

With all the fancy gadgets and gizmos in this phone; there is a big chance that all the features can slow down the performance quality of this phone. It’s not a perfect world when it comes to cramming wonderful hardware into a fancy little phone. You have to realize that there would be some problems to solve. This is another knock against this wonderful “diamond” in the rough, but perhaps something that fans can overlook.
