Messalina – The Nymphomaniac Empress

Finally, Messalina turned against Claudio. In 48 AD. C., Messalina had a new lover, the senile Gaius Silio. She married him and decided to kill Claudio. Narciso was Messalina’s accessory, but he revealed his plan to Claudio. Messalina tried to talk to Claudio, but he wanted to execute her. As a result, he feels Roman soldiers against her. She had the option to commit suicide, but she ultimately couldn’t do it. In the end, the garrison leader executed her. Claudio, ordered to execute Cayo Silio and all the people who knew about the marriage, too. He wanted to eliminate all traces of conspiracy against him!

Messalina’s life story was written many decades after her death. Thus it is said that the real events of her life were altered by Claudio’s second wife, Agrippina.
