One Man Pontoon Fishing Boats – Some Of The Best Options

If you are an angler who likes to fish solo, one of the best pieces of fishing gear to invest in is a one man pontoon boat. As someone who has been using this unique form of boat for over 20 years, I know how great they are and in this article I will outline some of the best options available today. If you consider yourself a serious angler and have never considered a one man fishing pontoon, read on and you will probably realize why this has been a huge mistake.

These boats not only give you the freedom to fish away from big fishing areas, they also give you the ability to fish in waters otherwise inaccessible to anglers. For example, in my favorite river, I used to be able to fish only in the areas I could walk or wade to, but due to the weeds and/or deep water, I could only go so far. Then 10 years ago I invested in my first one man pontoon boat and now I can cruise down the river and stop at all the areas I want to fish and do it with no problem. Below are 2 one man fishing pontoons that I have personal experience with so I know what effective fishing boats they are.

  1. Creek Company Sport LT Pontoon Boat – This option is a nice basic one man pontoon boat that features 30 gauge PVC bladders that are as tough as nails, and easily inflate and deflate for easy setup. Speaking of setup, this boat requires no tools for assembly, so getting in the water is no problem. It also features a molded seat that is fully adjustable and a large cargo bed with D-rings to easily secure your gear. All in all, this is a great option for the person just getting into the world of one-man fishing boats.
  2. The frameless pontoon – This has been my choice when it comes to one man pontoon fishing boats, for the last 5 years or so, and I couldn’t be happier. This incredibly stable boat is virtually impossible to tip over and keeps me dry while fishing. There’s plenty of room to stand and launch, and jumping off the frameless pontoon if I want to wade or just explore the bank couldn’t be easier. All in all, the frameless pontoon is the ultimate fishing boat for one person and is without a doubt one of the best options available to anglers.

Like I said earlier, if you like to fish solo or in small groups, you should invest in a one or two one man fishing boat and the options above are a great place to start. I am sure you will find that the positives far outweigh the negatives when it comes to using one man fishing boats like these.
