So what about the third eye?

I get this question a lot! Almost the same day actually! I wear my third eye sunglasses as often as I can for a real purpose. First of all, it is fun and fun is very important. I can exchange smiles with many people throughout the day, to connect with them. With all the suffering that I have been through, it gives me great joy to be able to bring a smile to the face of someone, a stranger, someone I will probably never have the opportunity to meet. Lots of people understand it and have a conversation with me about their experiences.

Many people do not understand and I am very glad that they feel comfortable enough to come and ask me, “So what about the third eye?” The conversation begins and I can plant some seeds and share a little about my story of overcoming depression, anxiety, and twelve years in a cocktail of pharmaceuticals. And they begin to share their story, or their son’s story, or their mother’s story. The dialogue begins about depression. Something that unfortunately has become a taboo subject. It was my life, my world for almost twenty years, and now it’s my passion to teach people about our mind, body, spiritual connection, and our body’s beautiful abilities to heal naturally.

Depression and anxiety are not illnesses in themselves, but side effects of the holistic imbalance of the body. Imbalance can be caused by literally thousands of different reasons and healing comes from curing the causes, not treating the symptom of depression with a pill. Don’t get me wrong: I support people’s decisions to take medicine when they need it. I certainly did. I was in no condition to heal myself at the time. She had two very sick children, mom responsibilities, and other life issues to deal with.

So, going back to the third eye … how does this relate to depression and anxiety? And is there such a thing? The third eye is our pineal gland and it is located in the center of our forehead, about the middle of the inside of the skull between the two hemispheres. It is responsible for the production of melotonin and serotonin. It is a gland that actually contains the same vitreous fluid as our other two eyes. “What? Why is this the first time I’ve heard of this?”, You may be wondering. I understand! I didn’t really learn about this until I was in my early 40s. How could I not know about one of my body parts? Why didn’t they teach me about this when I was learning about my little pigs and my head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes? I really felt a bit surprised to find out so late in life. When I learned more about how keeping this gland healthy gave me so much power and connection to happiness, joy, and my life purpose, I knew I needed to learn more and teach my brothers and sisters about it.

Other cultures celebrate the pineal gland and understand the power it has. Buddhists and Hindus get it. They use it. They feed it. They honor it. Why is it such a big secret here in the west? Or is that it? Then I started noticing things (the symbol has been used everywhere) since the founding of our country, mainly in positive ways that represent God’s all-knowing eye and the individual’s ability to connect individually with it. I figured out the dollar bill and searched the internet to find out who else knows about this beautiful organ that we have when I’ve been in the dark for so long. It has been used by organizations such as the Illuminati, the French government, the US government, Freemasons, 911 memorials, Madonna’s super bowl show, a Sydney New Years Eve celebration on Harbor Bridge, etc. etc.

Is the eye symbol good or bad? How does that relate to me? The pineal gland is a beautiful aspect of our physical anatomy that connects us with the beautiful aspect of our anatomy and energetic or spiritual spirituality as a whole. When we are born, our third eye is healthy and activated, as are most parts of our body. They didn’t teach me (as most of my readers probably do) how to keep it healthy with good nutrition and exercise (third eye exercise, no jogging – LOL), so mine wilted and I didn’t even know it was there.

There are many ways to strengthen the pineal gland, the third eye and I have written about that in other articles on my website. I hope you will follow me on my Facebook page to learn more about how to improve your health: mind, body and spirit!

I love you all! <3
In light and love
