Looking for the Ideal Man? While my book “The Ultimate Online Dating Handbook” will show you how to do it, have you ever wondered what the Ideal Man would look like? How should you spend your free time, if you like sports or shopping? Manicures or electronics? Well, in an online survey, The Harris Poll and Dodge Dakota asked 2,131 American adults ages 18 and older to describe the Ideal Man. 1,003 of the participants were men, while 1,128 were women. These are some of the questions that were asked and the conclusions of the survey.

Q: What are the characteristics of the ideal man?

Reliability: 92% of women want their man to be reliable, someone they can count on at all times.

Take it easy: 90% of women say their Ideal Man is a normal, capable, laid-back guy.

Humor: 88% of women surveyed said they want a man who makes them laugh.

Fashion conscious: Only 5% still want their man to be a fashion conscious “metrosexual” man.

Q: How should a man spend his free time?

Home repairs: 72% of women want a man who spends his free time doing housework.

Sports: 41% want their guy to be a sports fanatic.

Shopping: Only 10% of women would like their man to spend his free time shopping for clothes.

Exercise: 9% yes, that’s right, only 9% of the women surveyed want a man who spends his precious free time with a personal trainer.

Other findings.

Did you know that for the majority of women, 75% said their Ideal Man would buy their grooming products at a grocery store or pharmacy?

Only 17% would like their boy to buy his grooming products from a salon.

You already know those soft, well-groomed hands, well, 61% of women prefer a man with rough, hard-working hands to only 39% who want well-groomed hands.

In addition, 47% of the women surveyed prefer that their man spend his money on electrical appliances and not on cosmetics.

And 45% want a man to spend their money on their car / truck. Only 18% wanting him to spend money on fine wines.

Apparently, today’s women want their men to be confident and energetic. He must be a hard worker, play hard, and have a good sense of humor. Simply put, women want a manly man. The real man is back! Woo-hoo!
