With the new WOTLK expansion for World of Warcraft, Blizzard has introduced a new character class, the Death Knight. This was in November 2008 and was the first new character class to be added to the game since it was released in 2004.

Everyone was incredibly excited to try out the Death Knight character, and with the casting and hand-to-hand combat, the character became very popular, very quickly.

The Death Knight was the ultimate character, surpassing any other class in the game. With a companion by your side (Ghoul or Gargoyle), healing ability, and the option for high armor, anyone can have five or even six mobs at once. The DK is the single player character offered by most players in WOW.

Even after some nerfs Blizzard did on the DK, balancing it out, it’s still overpowered in a lot of ways in the other World Of Warcraft class. That’s why you can see so many of them, everywhere. But one thing was almost never discussed in the past about the benefits of the DK as a gold making machine.

Why is the Death Knight a gold-making machine?

First, as I said, you can only many mobs at the same time, this makes it easier to get gold as a DK. Farming was and will be the staple of gold making for all WOW players, you need nothing but time to farm gold, killing mobs in large numbers and fast is what the Knight does best.

Second, you get good melee and armor, so you can farm for a long time, and with the self-healing ability, you’re not looking for any downtime. This is a good thing for everyone, but the best for a gold farmer. No rest time means more gold per hour of farming.

And the best thing is that you start at a high level from day one, so you don’t need to spend time leveling up the new Knight. This is very good news if you want to get your gold fast on a new server, and this is why Knight is such a gold maker.

You never had a chance to start a new server with a high level gold production capacity before. This was the reason why most players only played on one server. You can now start a new server, build your gold quickly with the Death Knight, and have it added for you again.
