Writing reviews is my pleasure, so I decided to review Xbox bundles. I’m always interested in saving money, so I wanted to check out the older (but still available to buy) Xbox bundles.
I’ve played video games before, but I didn’t pay much attention. I just thought that they were all the same and that you should buy only according to price.
As it turns out, it’s a tricky area, so I decided to take a closer look at it so I can dig into the details to buy the best gaming console on the market. After much consideration, I chose the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 limited edition console.
Released in the fall of 2009 to coincide with the release of the new game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, this Xbox bundle really caught on. Many people were surprised.
There have been several Xbox 360 Limited Edition consoles over the years:
- grand theft auto iv
- The dark knight
- halo 3
- xbox 360 red
- The Simpsons
Just to name a few. But none of them had a 250gb hard drive. The Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition console is the only one to have this feature.
It also comes standard with a pair of regular Xbox 360 Elite controllers and is branded with the Modern Warfare 2 logo etc. Very cute design and awesome fun.
250GB hard drive
The 250GB hard drive is great. One user reports that he has two older Xbox consoles with only a 20gb hard drive. He says it was hard to find space on those little 20gb drives for new titles, videos and mp3s.
Often there was no other option but to simply remove the old stuff, even though it had already been paid for. There was just no room left on the 20gb drive.
After getting this console and transferring all the stuff from its 20gb drive, the Xbox 250gb HDD still had plenty of free space. A larger unit also makes for smoother gameplay. It also helps keep noise down.
It’s worth noting here that a data transfer kit is available for around $20 on Amazon.
Two black wireless controllers
This Xbox360 console includes two black wireless controllers. They are battery powered. An Xbox 360 charging dock is available for $24.99 on Amazon. Sleek black in color, it matches this console and the two black wireless controllers fit neatly into the charging cradle when recharging.
Having two controllers is good for families. Your kids won’t have to fight over who gets to play next. Two can play at the same time.
COLOR (ALL BLACK)
This edition comes in black. The Modern Warfare 2 brand is very attractive. It has a military look: gun metal style and camo throughout. Unlike other Xbox units, it fits nicely with other all-black electronics you may have (for example, a big-screen TV, home theater sound system, cable box, cable modem, etc.) cord etc)
CHIP/CPU ASSEMBLY
This Xbox uses the Jasper CPU on the unit’s motherboard. It is smaller than previous CPUs used. It runs cooler, so your Xbox will use less electricity (greener) and last longer. The red ring of death (RROD) problem is likely to be minimized, if not completely eliminated. It also makes it quieter.

It was originally $399; current prices start at $490. It’s best bought used for around $250.
