5 Step Plan to Get That 365 Day Healthy Glow!

Every season, you can look and feel your best with a few lifestyle changes and just a little patience and willpower. It is about keeping the body aligned, balanced, hydrated, in active movement, nourished and properly rested. With these five easy steps, you can maintain a healthy glow, manage your weight, and have more energy and happiness.

Hydrate

Our bodies need water. In fact, our body gives us signals to let us know when we are dehydrated. During the year, if you make this a priority, it will help your energy levels, your skin, and your waistline. In fact, water helps to hydrate the skin from the inside out. I always tell my clients that drinking water before a meal increases satiety and decreases caloric intake afterward. When you feel the urge for a snack, ask if maybe your hunger pangs are really due to dehydration.

Drink tea. To be more specific, drink green tea. Compounds in green tea called catechins appear to speed up the rate at which calories are burned. It’s also loaded with antioxidants and isn’t as dehydrating as other caffeinated beverages.

2. Say yes to macronutrients

How many people do not like to hear the word “diet”? Remember that any “diet” that promotes elimination of one of the macronutrients (protein, carbohydrate, and fat) is not a practical method of eating that can be maintained, nor does it have a basis in health, nutrition, and wellness. In fact, exaggerated and fad “diets” actually prevent you from delaying weight loss in the future by slowing down your metabolism. So don’t “diet”, just be aware.

For each meal, imagine your plate filled with colorful and vibrant foods made up of all three macronutrients. Incorporating whole fruits as a treat is always the best option. Tips: Limit your consumption of alcoholic beverages, mix them with mineral water and eat something small before going to a party.

3. Daily detox

We will feel and look our best if the body continues to eliminate excess waste. This can be accomplished by stocking up on vegetables from the Brassica family (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage). Also, consume cereals rich in fiber, as well as yogurt rich in acidophilus, as well as water and herbal teas.

4. Relax and reflect

It seems there is never enough time in the day. Sometimes we need to know when enough is enough. Proper rest allows the body a chance to properly digest and heal. Keeping stress under control is one of the best health and beauty secrets out there.

In your spare time take time for yourself. Whether it’s listening to music, reading a book, taking a bubble bath, or all of the above, his body will thank you.

5. Shake off what your mom gave you

Incorporating physical activity into your daily routine improves your mood and increases your energy levels. We’ve all heard that when you exercise, your body releases endorphins. These endorphins give you a feeling of euphoria, a boost of happiness. Who doesn’t want to feel like this?

There are many different aerobic activities to try that will keep your heart in shape and get you moving and burning those unwanted calories (walking, biking, Zumba, yoga, kick-boxing). You choose!

I like to say that “breaking a good sweat is comparable to getting a mini-facial.” “When pores are dilated, sweat forces out trapped dirt and oil. Just make sure you cleanse your face afterwards so the buildup doesn’t get back into your pores.

Those are my 5 tips to get that 365 day healthy glow. Hopefully you will apply these steps to get the results, I know you can achieve them!
