The 3 key components to grow any business

If you’re in sales, have you ever wondered why you can’t seem to increase your sales results? There has to be a way to get predictable results! Good? The answer is yes, it can produce predictable results. In order to produce such predictable results, there are three key components that every salesperson must take into account to grow any business.

The three key components to growing any business are:

– Lead generation

– Set appointments

– Converting leads into sales presentations

Each component is a vital part in growing a business. It starts by generating enough leads or contacts from people who are in the target market and who would benefit from or be interested in the products or services a vendor sells. Without leads, a salesperson would have no one to present their product or service to! The next thing is to schedule the appointment that creates the opportunity to introduce the product or service to the people who would benefit and possibly want to buy. Last but not least is the part where leads are turned into sales pitches. These three components are the springboard in any sales process and one would not work without the other.

The sales industry is one of the best industries to be in, with unlimited earning potential and lifetime job security. Vendors are in high demand because all businesses need vendors to sell their products. Without sellers, businesses could not operate. Being in sales is not a bad thing, although many feel bad or ashamed about being in sales, instead of being proud to be a sales person because you can make a difference in people’s lives with the products or services you are selling. .

Every year more and more people start a career in sales, but unfortunately many also leave the business due to one major obstacle…they don’t know how to sell! You will see if you know how to sell and know the sales process, you have the potential to make a substantial amount of money. But most salespeople start out in sales with limited knowledge of how to sell, then companies give them basic training on what to say to prospects, and then they get fired with these words… Go make a lot of sales, and talk to as many people as possible, eventually someone will buy. That’s like throwing mud on the wall, a few sticks but most of it falls off. It’s the same in sales, if you talk to people without the knowledge of how to approach them, what to say, find out what their true needs are, you’re basically throwing mud at the wall because most people say, “Me.” I’m not interested” and every once in a while you may make a sale, but that’s probably because the prospect really wanted what you were selling.

Selling isn’t always easy and if you’ve ever struggled with selling I can understand and relate to you because that’s where I was. After all, in sales you have to know how to sell. You have to know about systems that can help you in the sales process, you have to know what to say, when to say it, how to close, how to handle objections, how to set appointments; how to build trust and relationship – these are all skills you must have and know to be successful.

You also have to decide if you want to succeed and do whatever it takes to get to where you want to be, which means you’ll have to make sacrifices to get there.

However, if you’re not willing to make those sacrifices and take action, and prefer to continue arguing your limitations, guess what’s going to happen…you can keep your limitations.

Fortunately, selling is a learned skill! If you want to be successful in your sales career, all you have to do is learn new skills and practice, practice, and practice some more. You should be able to consistently generate leads, schedule appointments, and convert leads into sales. Once you learn new sales skills and consistently apply them, you’ll quickly see a huge increase in not only your sales results, but also your confidence and self-esteem. Nothing feels better than success and anyone who sets their minds to it and does what it takes to improve their skills can succeed.
