Will we ever say ENOUGH to gun violence?

How many more, must die, before, enough Americans, articulate a message, similar, the famous line, from the movie, Network, that proclaims, I’m mad as hell, and I won’t take it anymore? Despite the fact that public polls indicate, the public overwhelmingly support some sensible gun control measures, including: better background checks; removing huge weapon clips; reduce access to automatic weapons; degree; mental health tests, etc., politicians, especially President Donald Trump and his facilitators, seem, due to political (financial, etc.) or other reasons, to continue, refuse, take meaningful and responsible actions, for the common good ! We have not had? ENOUGH, of this kind of political leadership? With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why Americans must become less apathetic or we will all suffer.

1. Empathy; emphasis; education: Whenever opponents of gun control in their right mind want to increase opposition to any measure, they use the same, Playbook, which is trying to create fear among gun owners. They always dispute so-called Second Amendment Rights, but they distort this by claiming that they have the right to own guns. The reality is, however, and has been affirmed by two previous Supreme Court justices, the right to bear arms, it had to do with state militias, and since most states had few sources of income, their volunteer militiamen would have to own their own weapons. In fact, as recently as the mid-20th century, this explanation was rarely used. When any personal right interferes with those of others to live safely and securely, a change is needed! Officials, who refuse to listen and fail to proceed with genuine empathy and an emphasis on a balance between owning a gun and doing it responsibly, need increased education, compassion, and a willingness to serve the greater / greater good. !

two. Needs; nerve: Whose needs should be addressed: the supposed right to own a weapon, or the public’s need for more security and much less firearm violence? We must choose people, with the cheek, to resist the efforts, to be influenced by the Political Action Committees!

3. Options; opportunities: Is it possible to balance the right of gun owners to safety with the rights of the general public? If politicians were looking for common sense solutions and opportunities to come together for the common good, this should be able to be addressed!

Four. Useful; usual / unusual; urgent: Hasn’t the time passed when we consider this violence, as an urgent matter, that it should be, a priority? This has been going on for a while now, so both the usual and unusual aspects have mostly been witnessed, and action must be taken! What good are public leaders if they do not address essential issues in a useful way?

5. Generate goodwill; Greater good; pistol / pistols: While the possession of weapons, for sporting reasons, is fine, if the owners are responsible, we must take a serious look at the types of weapons / weapons allowed. Does any hunter need a military weapon, attack weapon, or any weapon with a larger clip than necessary? Shouldn’t the primary consideration be serving the common good, generating goodwill, and protecting the safety and well-being of the public?

6. Cicatrization; humanity; heart head: This has become an emotional issue, when it should be considered, with a balance of our logical and emotional components, a balance between the head and the heart! The healing of humanity and common sense must prevail!

How many more must die and be seriously injured, both physically and emotionally, before we say: ENOUGH? It’s about time, it’s about time, for saner gun controls / safety!
